President Trump voiced his opinions on Monday and made it clear to us all that the travels ban is what we need to have a safer America. Trump went on Twitter to tweet that “The Justice Dept. should have stayed with the original Travel Ban, not the watered down, politically correct version they submitted to S.C.”
This all comes from earlier last week when the Justice Department altered his executive order due to the fact that federal courts stated that his order was “too harsh.”
Due to the many attacks happening overseas over the past few weeks, our country needs major protection policies now, more than ever.
The travel ban will make travelers undergo a strict examination process before allowing them to board a flight that departs to the United States. Trump also stated these words on Twitter on Monday “The Justice Dept. should ask for an expedited hearing of the watered down Travel Ban before the Supreme Court & seek much tougher version!” The President urges that the Justice Department not ask for their so called “watered down version” of the travel ban to be passed. Instead, he desires that they ask for a hearing in the Supreme Court, revise their outline of the travel ban, and make the travel ban as strict as possible to make it tougher for terrorists and international criminals to enter the U.S.A.
This is supported by Trump also stating that “In any event we are EXTREME VETTING people coming into the U.S. in order to help keep our country safe. The courts are slow and political!”
Just last week, the Justice Department spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores, urged the Supreme Court take serious consideration into looking at the plan they set for the travel ban. She is confident that the executive order created by President Trump, is within the lawful authority to protect our nation and keep it safe. With all the terrorism happening in, our nation needs to support the fact that our President is trying his best to protect us all from danger. If this issue is not dealt with promptly and with caution, the risk of terrorists entering our country will be extremely high. The federal courts need to open their eyes and realize that our country is at risk of being a major target for the infamous terror group ISIS. The attacks they are causing are only increasing in numbers and don’t seem to be diminishing anytime soon.
Why not deal with a problem before it could have the possibility of getting much worse?!
The federal and appellate courts need to open their eyes and realize we need to attend this threat before it has the possibility of getting out of hand. Granted, there is no need to ban every person from a specific country or religion; however, there needs to be strict and rigorous screenings of all passengers that board flights to come to our country and if there is even a slight sight of the passenger being a possible threat to our society, then they should not be allowed to come to our country.
